Congratulations to the Be More Awards™ winners Winners of Eight’s inaugural Be More Awards™ were announced Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at the Camelback Inn, according to Eight’s General Manager Greg Giczi. The event honored the outstanding achievements of Arizona’s non-profit organizations. Categories ranged from outstanding marketing initiatives, exceptional educational outreach, innovative organization endeavors, extraordinary fundraising and event efforts, and commitment to arts and cultural awareness. Tom Ambrose, senior vice president/executive director of Phoenix Suns Charities was the keynote speaker for the luncheon and awards ceremony. Ambrose’s presentation highlighted the vital role non-profits play in our society and their value to the community. Applications for the Be More Awards™ were evaluated by an independent panel of 15 impartial judges ranging from community volunteers to business leaders from throughout the Apache, Coconino, Gila, Graham, Greenlee, La Paz, Maricopa, Mohave, Navajo, Pinal, Yavapai, and Yuma area. The eight awards presented were:
