Colter buildingEmployed from 1902-1948 as architect/designer by the Fred Harvey Company, Mary Jane Colter (pictured, right) designed hotels, curio shops and rest havens along the route of the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway. Eleven of her buildings are listed in the National Register of Historic Places and five have been designated as National Historic Landmarks. Her best-known works include:
